Share Your Story about Clinical Sequencing
Genetic Alliance is interviewing individuals who have undergone or are undergoing whole genome or whole exome sequencing and those who are interested in doing so in the future. The goal of this project is to help make sure that the use of whole genome sequencing is informed by the needs of patients and their families.
We would like to hear about your experiences with the testing process: what has it been like for you and your family?
We will conduct a phone interview, followed by an in-person video interview if you are comfortable. Information on the organization or company that performed the sequencing tests will not be shared.
If you would like to learn more or share your story, please contact James O’Leary at joleary@geneticalliance.org or 202.966.557 x206.
What are whole genome sequencing and whole exome sequencing? Whole genome sequencing is a process that determines the DNA sequence of your genome. In whole exome sequencing, only the coding portions of the genome are sequenced (about 1% of your entire genome).
