In the Family
At 31, filmmaker Joanna Rudnick faces an impossible decision: remove her breasts and ovaries or risk incredible odds of developing cancer. Intensely personal and timely, In the Family follows Joanna through the unpredictable world of predictive genetic testing.
On Thursday, July 10, 2008, after a successful Genetics Day on the Hill, Genetic Alliance hosted back-to-back sneak previews of this incredibly powerful and relevant film. A Q&A with Joanna Rudnick followed each screening. Sharon Terry, President & CEO of Genetic Alliance, and Sue Friedman, founder of FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered) answered questions along with Joanna.
