Genetic TMI: Ways to Think about and Use Massive Amounts of Sequence<br /> Information

Genetic Alliance 25th Anniversary Annual Conference Header

Workshops: Session II
Saturday, June 25 2011
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Thanks to recent advances in sequencing technology and the decreasing costs of obtaining whole genome sequences of individuals, resources related to genetic conditions have expanded to match the growth of sequence data. This workshop will explore how some resources have evolved to meet the changing needs of users and the benefits the resources have gained through collaboration with other stakeholders.

Presenters:
Lisa Forman Neall – Staff Scientist, Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences Branch, Lister Hill Center, NLM, NIH
Alyson Krokosky – Assistant Director of Genetics Resources and Services, Genetic Alliance
Jennifer Lee – Staff Scientist, National Center for Biotechnology Information, NLM, NIH
