The intersection of genetics and information technology enables us to explore the potential of integrating genetic information into the electronic health record, both as a tool for empowering individuals and for maximizing the effectiveness and quality of health systems. In this session, speakers will present the recent partnership between Partners HealthCare and Intermountain Healthcare that seeks to maximize the utility of genetic test results by standardizing the way the information moves through an electronic system. This workshop will provide a model to discuss the policy and research implications of such novel collaborations in the health community. Presenters: |
