Gene Logic, Gaithersburg, MD
On Wednesday, January 13, 2010 Genetic Alliance hosted a tour of its BioBank facilities at Gene Logic.
Genetic Alliance BioBank is a centralized, advocacy-owned, biological sample repository and registry that enables translational genomic research.
Genetic Alliance provided registry and repository solutions and infrastructure for disease advocacy organizations to pursue sophisticated, novel research collaborations with academia and industry to accelerate research, develop new diagnostics and therapeutics, and better understand and treat disease.
Prior to the tour, participants were given a short overview of Genetic Alliance BioBank and a demonstration of the online software tools used to manage sample and data collection and analysis. A tour of the repository and an overview of additional genomics services offered by Gene Logic were then provided.
