Sharon Romelczyk

Genetic Alliance
As Program Manager of the National Genetics Education and Consumer Network (NGECN) at Genetic Alliance, Sharon manages efforts to create and sustain a collaborative network of partnerships and accessible tools that improve consumers’ access to and knowledge about genetic services and to enhance the quality of those services. Most recently, Sharon served as a Senior Project Specialist for the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD), working closely with state-based programs funded by the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the goal of improving health and preventing chronic diseases for people with a broad range of disabilities. She has demonstrated experience in leading national efforts to create collaborative products with state-based public health partners, national nonprofits, and government agencies. Her passion is in improving access to healthcare for people with disabilities.
Sharon has a BA in Applied Sociology, focusing on Disabilities Issues from Rowan University and an MPA concentrating in Disability and Health Policy from the University of Delaware.
