The Reverend Dr. Susan King is an ordained interfaith minister specializing in issues of the life sciences in society. Her grassroots organizing abilities span the range of cross-cultural partnerships, hunger coalitions, campus ministries, affordable housing, and interfaith dialogues on biobanking. She currently works with the Life Sciences and Society Program at the University of Michigan on ethical and social justice issues in genetics. Her work at Oxford University and the Graduate Theological Foundation grounds her work in spirituality, transpersonal, and organizational psychology.
She brings a unique set of discernment and dialectical skills to the Council, focusing on mechanisms for reaching sustainable openness, transparency, and understanding around areas of mutual concern across diverse communities.
