Sharon Kardia, PhD, is Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She is Director of the Public Health Genetics Program, Co-Director of Life Sciences and Society Program, and Co-Director of Center for Public Health Genomics. Sharon has 15 years of experience researching the genetics of common chronic diseases and has sat on a variety of National Institute of Health committees examining numerous issues related to the field of genetics and genomics.
