On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, Genetic Alliance hosted Trust It or Trash It Training: Workshop on Developing Educational Materials. The workshop consisted of two parts: The morning focused on critical thinking and the components of quality and credible resources. Later, participants looked at examples of well-developed materials and had a chance to evaluate their own materials or begin creating new resources for their organizations. The workshop was practical and interactive. Film footage from the day served as a basis for an instructional video to benefit other advocacy organizations.
