As the Communications and Operations Assistant, Jeffrey Giorgi maintains the online presence of Genetic Alliance through the Genetic Alliance website and various social media channels, while promoting outreach through the Weekly Bulletin Newsletter. Additionally, Jeffrey is the direct contact for all prospective interns and work study students.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Jeffrey comes to Washington DC by way of Hampton Roads. After leaving the military in 2008, Jeffrey pursued his college education, graduating with a BA in Literature from George Mason University. In 2012 he was hired at his first nonprofit - The Center for Excellence in Education. Not content with his limited scope of work, Jeffrey pursued greater opportunity, joining the AmeriCorps VISTA program in 2013. Moving to Longmont, Colorado, Jeffrey began work at Veterans Helping Veterans Now as their Communications Coordinator. With a staff of only four, there was never a lack of work or lack of opportunity to gain new skills. With renewed vigor, Jeffrey returned to Washington DC in 2014 and began working for CHAP as their Marketing Coordinator. After nearly two years, the desire to return to the communcations field took hold. Jeffrey joined Genetic Alliance in October 2016.
