Stephen Friend: Innovator
Stephen Friend just might revolutionize the pharmaceutical industry. After founding Rosetta Inpharmatics, Stephen served as Merck’s senior vice president of cancer research. In 2009, he left Merck to create Sage Bionetworks, a nonprofit biomedical research organization. From there, Stephen hopes to create a commons for commercial biomedical researchers.
Update: Ashoka; has elected Stephen to its global fellowship!
Innovation is collaborative in nature. The Innovator Series showcases some of the many partners Genetic Alliance has worked with over the past quarter century. Each individual utilized teamwork and a community approach to contribute substantially to innovation in genetics and health.
Through this video series, we reflect on our successes through the lenses of several visionary members of our community. We will channel their curiosity for inspired innovation in our 26th year
and beyond.
Please enjoy the series. We will continue to unveil new Innovators throughout our 25th year.
